One of the things that we recently bought was a vinyl tablecloth, and it’s possibly the most useful accessory that we’ve added to our home in quite some time. I have my reasons for this, and I’d like to share them with you if you’ve never enjoyed the ease that vinyl offers.

I’d probably never know just how convenient a vinyl covering is if I had never had cotton and other materials before this one. It all has to do with convenience, and the mistakes that were made in the past have led me into a fully appreciative state regarding exactly what the vinyl table cover offers. The first issue has to do with the stains that always seemed to afflict our old tablecloths.

Even if these stains can be washed out, it’s still a hassle dealing with the process of cleaning and maintaining them. Whether you’re machine washing these in cold water and then drying them, or taking them to the dry cleaners, this costs both time and money on your part.

Any household that has young children knows very well how often stains can occur. Even homes without kids are bound to get the inevitable drink spill. Something like a drop tomato sauce would usually end up ruining our tablecloth in the past.

The good news is that the vinyl tablecloth is everything that these other accessories aren’t. For starters, they’re really easy to maintain. Usually, some soap and water will wipe away any stains caused by spills.

Additionally, the surface of these objects are usually thick, making it extremely difficult for spilled drinks to seep through the surface of the covering and onto the table. This provides a solid layer of protection to your table.

With respect to the fact that kids may pull one end of the tablecloth off of the table, this isn’t any kind of an issue should you choose to go with a fitted vinyl tablecloth. The ends will be conveniently tucked underneath the tabletop, making this impossible.
